Meet With The Instructor
Yonca Kurt is an award-winning educator and founder of Tech Study UK.
She has published four books, inspiring Students and Teachers alike. She published the Coding and Robotics books , “Maker Educator with Projects” and “Maker Student Education with Projects” and also a further two books to help teachers with distance learning, “Distance Education Must” and “Google Passwords in Education”.
In 2017, she and her students represented Turkey in the Canada Wide Science Fair. Two projects were completed which won two gold medals.
In 2019, she and her students again represented Turkey in the International RoboRAVE Competition in Poland, delivering a robotics project from which a third gold medal was achieved.
In 2017 and 2020, she was selected among the most successful female educators of the year in the Womenโs Leaders of Technology Competition organized by Microsoft.
She attended programming training organized by Stanford University in 2014 and 2015.
She provides APCS-A, APCS-P, GCSE, A-Level Computer Science exam preparation lessons. She is also an official IB Teacher. She has taken part in an official IB trainer session in Berlin, in 2020.

The summer camp will take place on the beautiful and vibrant campus of the University of Surrey, located in Guildford, Surrey. As part of our summer camp experience, students will have the opportunity to explore some of the UK’s most iconic cities. We will embark on exciting trips to London, Oxford, and Cambridge, where participants will immerse themselves in the rich history, culture, and academic prestige of these renowned locations. In London, students will visit famous landmarks, experience the vibrant atmosphere of the capital, and enjoy a scenic cruise to Big Ben and the London Eye. Our Oxford tour will offer a glimpse into the life of one of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities, including visits to several locations where scenes from the Harry Potter movies were filmed. Similarly, the Cambridge trip will allow students to explore the beautiful colleges and scenic riverside that make this city so unique, with the added experience of a traditional punting tour along the picturesque River Cam. These trips are designed to be both educational and enjoyable, providing students with unforgettable experiences during their time at camp.
