Course Description:

Content:

The course is structured into three main stages, each introducing a different aspect of game creation.
Participants will not only build a game scene but also understand how movement, balance, and feedback systems come together to create a smooth player experience.

Stage 1: Building the Game World

  • Scene structure and layer organization
  • Object placement, alignment, and movement rules
  • Visual hierarchy and depth perception
  • Collision areas and interactive zones
  • Character control logic and directional movement
  • Background animation and environmental atmosphere design

At this stage, students create the physical foundation of their game world and design their first interactive scenes.

Stage 2: Interaction and Gameplay Dynamics

  • Object interaction and trigger systems
  • Movement, jumping, gravity, and response timing
  • Scoring, points, and feedback loops
  • Collectibles, goals, and task systems
  • Animation transitions and event-based logic
  • Timing, rhythm, and gameplay balance

This stage focuses on bringing the game to life and making the player experience smooth and engaging.

Stage 3: Final Project and Application

  • Game concept planning and prototyping
  • Level flow and difficulty balance
  • Menus, transitions, and score screens
  • Testing, feedback, and optimization
  • Preparing the final project for presentation and play

In the final stage, students develop and present their own fully playable 2D game.
