Ms. Yonca has been one of the most impactful teachers on my path as a learner, especially in Computer Science. While making learning extremely enjoyable with her positive, joyful, and uplifting personality, she also establishes many strategic and innovative ways to teach programming. With her incredible qualities, overcoming challenges in coding became enjoyable to work through, persuading me to pursue a career in programming - something that I didn’t believe I would do before I started lessons with Ms. Yonca. Furthermore, it has been highly inspiring to see her exceedingly advanced skills and tactics and her enthusiasm for programming, creating an astonishing role model for me and others to follow as a woman in STEM.<3

Yonca teacher helped me a lot in Java programming. Thanks to her, I started to enjoy the course that I had the most difficulty in at the university. Our lessons were both very productive and enjoyable for me. Thanks to her, my interest in this course increased a lot, as my grades increased and I passed my programming lesson with a high point. I am a high school student from Dubai American Academy and have been taking an online course on Java for the past couple of months with my instructor Ms. Yonca. The course has been very intriguing and exciting. I loved learning how to construct my own web pages on the user interface. Ms. Yonca made classes very fun and helped me overcome challenges throughout the process.

I am Mey Coruh. I am an eleventh-grade student and taking the AP Computer science A class from Ms.Yonca. I have never been a person interested in technology and especially coding. In prior years I have taken several programming lessons and have always found them to be very confusing and very challenging. When I was advised by my college counselor to take the computer science course I was very prejudicial, but as I started my lessons with Miss Yonca I found that I am actually capable of understanding computer science. In a short period of time, I learned a very wide range of the java coding language and I have gained the ability to read, trace, and construct codes. Miss Yonca has always encouraged me to believe in myself and not give up when I cannot solve a question. She has her own techniques that simplify very complicated codes. She has helped me find a passion for computer science, something I thought I would never have.

I'm Deniz San, I'm studying Biological Sciences at Imperial College London and I have learned a Python programming course from Yonca Hoca. Thanks to her, I improved my knowledge of Python by learning extra subjects as well as my school's curriculum and gained comprehensive knowledge. Ms. Kurt and I studied APCS A together, and she was extremely helpful. We carefully examined each type of question, and my AP exam went exceptionally well. In addition, I had limited time to work; nonetheless, with her assistance, we were able to complete tasks quickly and efficiently. I have learned the Python coding language from Yonca teacher that I will see throughout the university. After understanding the basic syntax of Python, I learned how to approach problem-solving algorithms that we can classify from simple to difficult. In this process, I have laid a solid foundation not only in Python, but also in computer programming, by pondering various sample of coding questions. I was able to adapt very easily thanks to the basics I gained from Yonca teacher while transitioning to other programming languages such as Java during my university years.

Engineering I started studying Python with Yonca teacher two months ago, I lacked most of the foundations and was looking to build up new foundations and master guided user interfaces on Python. I achieved these goals much faster than I expected with the help of her experience and incredible knowledge in Python. Additionally her knowledge on Arduino and other areas of electronics helped me visualize real-life applications of what I learned in Python. It was a great experience studying with Yonca teacher, her joy and energy combined with her expertise really made the lessons highly enjoyable.

What a great Python experience with my dearest teacher Yonca Kurt! I learned the actual meaning of “Coding” from Ms. Kurt : Coding means being able to think like a problem solver and learning the logic of life. In fact, I can say that I started thinking much more open mindedly and creatively after this program, while trying to understand the functioning of many systems in technology and programming. In this new era of technology, I believe it is very crucial to know and to use these techniques. Yonca Kurt helped me with her advanced knowledge and experience in the area of coding and programming that I was very much interested in and she presented the lessons in such a way that she gave me self-confidence and inspired me with the logic of coding. Even if there is a little curiosity or desire in you to learn coding, I strongly recommend to start this amazing adventure with Ms. Yonca Kurt. I have studied programming with my teacher Yonca to prepare for universities abroad. I learned Python in the first 3 months. We prepared for the AP Computer Science exam for 6 months. I was able to grasp the logic of Python and Java programming languages in our lessons. I know that every piece of information I have learned is permanent because we have always worked with Yonca teacher away from memorization and this has helped me a lot. I passed the AP Computer Science exam with a high mark. Thanks to Yonca teacher.

Our lessons were very entertaining and informative. We did many projects together and had a lot of fun. Now I understand that the fact that my Yonca teacher directed me to Robotics helped me a lot in my love of this field. I had a project in my mind that I dreamed of. I was able to complete this project thanks to the lessons I took from my teacher Yonca and the support she gave me throughout the whole process, and with this project, I won first place in an international robotics competition. Thanks to this project, I took part in important media such as Fortune 40 and Bloomberg. Thanks to my teacher Yonca, I realized that I was interested in this field and that I wanted to choose this field as a profession in the future. I am currently studying at Koç High School in the 11th grade in the IB program and I am taking the Computer Science course at a high level. Next year, I will apply to good universities in America from the field of computer science and I think that the courses I took from my teacher Yonca had a great share in my being accepted and studying this profession abroad.

This program was overall a great experience for me. In just 10 lessons, I learned a lot of things about Python and coding in general. I am sure these lessons will help me a lot with the computer science AP lessons and my future Career. I recommend it to anyone wanting to give coding a shot.

I took private lessons from Ms. Kurt for about 6 months and I can confidently say that I enjoyed every second. She is patient, light-hearted, and also very knowledgeable about computer science as well as the AP curriculum. I highly recommend taking lessons from Ms. Kurt, if you want to improve your proficiency in computer science or study for the AP computer science exam.
